ABOUT LODEWIJK VOS

I am always looking for new instruments and sounds to study, sample, and work with. I constantly find myself recording one-of-a-kind instruments, objects, and or spaces around the world. 

Every instrument has it’s own voice, it’s own character.

Every string, player, room, train, car and door squeak has it’s own depth.

These are the seeds of my music. 

If you start with something original, you end up with something original. At a time when projects can start to sound similar, I am excited by unique perspectives, because I believe that every great story must have it’s own sonic identity. 

Whether it’s a live set, an interactive installation or a season of TV, I’m most inspired by the conversations, creative processes and the stories of the collaborators involved.

My passion is working with singular sounds, moments and voices.  My work thrives on a process fuelled by story, emotion, and collaboration. 

Whenever I can find the time to work on my own projects I make electronic based music and play live sets under the name LØ
